The Twitch Affiliate requirements

Twitch lowered the bar in 2026. To unlock the Affiliate Program, you need to hit all four of these over the same rolling 30-day window:

  • 25 followers (a running total)
  • 4 hours broadcast
  • 4 different broadcast days
  • An average of 3 viewers on 4 different days

Twitch tracks all four on the Path to Affiliate progress bar in your Creator Dashboard. Premieres, reruns, subscriber streams, and Watch Parties don't count. Meet them and an invite usually follows within a day or two.

The one that holds most streamers back

Hours, stream days, and followers come with showing up consistently. Pulling an average of 3 viewers on 4 different days is the real wall, because it depends on discovery: being live when your audience is online, networking with similar streamers, and giving the directory enough early activity to start recommending you. That's exactly where a little momentum compounds: targeted viewer and follower support strengthens the early signals that help real people find your stream.

FAQ

Twitch Affiliate, answered

What are the Twitch Affiliate requirements?

You need to hit four targets over the same 30-day window: at least 25 followers, at least 4 hours broadcast, at least 4 different broadcast days, and an average of 3 or more viewers on 4 different days. Meet all four and Twitch invites you to the Affiliate Program.

Do the requirements have to be met in the same 30 days?

Yes. Twitch measures hours streamed, broadcast days, and viewers over a rolling 30-day period, while the 25-follower target is a running total. The Path to Affiliate progress bar in your Creator Dashboard tracks all four.

Which requirement is usually hardest?

For most new streamers it's averaging 3 viewers on 4 different days. Followers, hours, and stream days come with consistency, but lifting your viewer average takes discovery: being live when your audience is, networking, and giving the directory early signals to work with.

Can growth services help me reach Affiliate?

Targeted viewer and follower support can strengthen the early signals that help real people discover your stream, which lifts the average-viewer metric that holds most streamers back. Pair it with a consistent schedule for the best results.
